An independent quality control regime that goes well beyond the regulatory minimum.
Every Ambaa Gold piece passes through a four-stage quality protocol before it leaves our Mumbai facility.
Stage 1 — Assay & purity
Each fresh casting is XRF-tested in our in-house lab to confirm 916 (22K) purity. Castings that fall outside tolerance are remelted, never reworked.
Stage 2 — Workmanship inspection
Master craftsmen inspect setting, finish, polish and structural integrity under magnification. Pieces with any defect re-enter the craft cycle.
Stage 3 — BIS hallmarking
Every finished piece is submitted to a Bureau of Indian Standards-recognised hallmarking centre. The hallmark, jeweller's identification mark and purity stamp are laser-applied.
Stage 4 — Final QC & match
A final inspection covers weight tolerance against the original quote, packaging integrity, hallmark visibility and a one-to-one match with the issued certificate.

Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence verifies 916 purity at the casting stage.
Magnified Inspection
Master craftsmen review every stone setting, solder joint and polish under 10x magnification.
Calibrated Weighing
Weights are recorded on certified scales calibrated quarterly against reference standards.
BIS Hallmarking
Hallmarked at a BIS-recognised centre with full triple-mark traceability.
Certificate Match
Each piece is matched 1:1 with its purity & weight certificate before being sealed.
Despatch Verification
A second QC officer countersigns despatch — no piece leaves without two signatures.

Do you provide a purity certificate?+
Yes. Every despatched piece is accompanied by an Ambaa Gold purity & weight certificate, in addition to its BIS hallmark.
What happens if a piece fails QC?+
It returns to the craft cycle for rework, or — if purity is off — is remelted. We do not patch defects.
Can I request a third-party assay?+
Yes. We're happy to release any piece for independent assay at a BIS-recognised centre prior to invoicing.
